OUR PETS

Initially, we raised the baby birds in a discarded rabbit hutch that we placed in our garage.
While they grew, we built their coop based on images and ideas we found on the web. For
the most part, we winged it because we never found any plans that we really liked.
The project took four weekends to finish and I think we came out with a sound design.

McMurray Hatchery
McMurray Hatchery
I ordered 10 baby mallards On-line from mcmurrayhatchery.com My intention was
to raise and release them. On May 23, 2006, they arrived via USPS, surprisingly in
a very tiny box. They were not handled to avoid taming them. They grew very fast
and fly about the yard but never wonder off very far. Oddly, they seem to have no
intention of leaving. I would like to think they are just happy living in my back yard.

Did I do that?
Our little
Poop Machine
On Wednesday, November 28, 2007 my girlfriend brought home a dwarf "Hotot"
bunny. He is said to be 11½ weeks olds. He came into our lives by way of a friend
having one too many bunnies. We already have chickens, so we figured why not a
bunny as well. We named him Rocky because he is quite the handful. In the last
few days, he has become very playful and affectionate.
I thought I taw a poopie!
